In April 2021 adjudicators at London Tribunals decided on the fate of 43 PCNs. They cancelled 14, a mere 32%, which is below the usual rate and perhaps reflective of the fact that moving traffic PCNs are much harder to beat than ones for parking.
Four decisions stood out:

Due to Covid the number of PCNs being decided at the independent adjudicators remains depressed. In addition, probably thanks to there being more moving traffic cameras around the borough of Barnet the success rate of motorists has diminished as the cctv evidence is usually conclusive.
In March there were 72 PCNs in front of adjudicators and only 23, a mere 32%, were cancelled.
Two cases were a little out of the ordinary and both concerned the health of individuals about which it appears that Barnet Council doesn't care about at all, with revenue raising being more important.

The trouble with a traffic warden giving you verbal permission is twofold; 1. it isn't written down and 2. a different traffic warden gives you the PCN.
Best to stay off the footway unless there are marked bays or signs which permit it.
There were 66 cases decided in February 2021.
Of those 24 went the way of the motorist, a mere 36% which is lower than average.
Only 2 cases were out of the usual run of things.

In January 2021 there were 82 PCNs decided upon at the tribunal.
Of those, only 31, that is 38%, went the way of the motorist.
Quite a few of those cases were in yellow box junctions and they can be hard to beat.

Another quiet month for Barnet PCNs at the tribunal with 63 cases being decided of which the motorist won 34 which is 54% a slightly better than average result but that is normal for December as PCNs get abandoned in order for the council to have a clear desk.

Barnet Council are habitually reluctant to accept cloning occurred but given the distance there is obvious logic and the police visit renders the question almost beyond doubt.

With the pandemic continuing the number of tribunal cases has remained low. There were 55 tribunal decisions and 25, that is 45%, went the way of the motorist.

There were 88 cases decided at the tribunal during October 2020.
Only 34 of those were won by the motorist, more research is needed if you really want to win.

There were 94 decisions in September the low number reflecting the lower number of parking PCNs issued in recent months. The motorist only won 33% of them which is probably a reflection of the fact that moving traffic contraventions are harder to beat as there is video evidence.

In July 2020 there were 78 Appeal decisions made of which 32, that is 41% (a bit below average) went the way of the motorist.

Despite these two unusual and rare errors you still have more chance of winning at the tribunal than with the council, who have a vested interest in the outcome, whereas the tribunal don't.
